Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
Removing the Google app removes the Google search bar on the home screen, the home screen itself and all other screens. Restoring it gives only the home screen with default Google apps. Al other screens and apps on it are lost
If you do not want the Google searchbar you can install a different launcher like Evie from the Google app store

No sound while navigating
- Check if the TTS (Tekst To Speech) engine is installed and enabled
- Default this is the Google Tekst-To-Speach engine.
- Search the Google Tekst-To-Speach engine in the Playstore
- Make sure it is installed, enabled and updated
- Goto Settings | Language & input | Speech | Text-tospeech-output
- Tab on the settings (rad) symbol in the upper right side of the screen
- Select the desired Language
- Tab on Settings for Google Text-to-Speech Engine
- Use WiFi only: As you want it. We select On
- Amplify speech volume: As you want it. We select On
- Intonation: As you want it. We select Expressive
- Number processing: As you want it. We select On
- Anonymous usage reports: As you want it. We select Off
- Install voice data: As you need it
- Go back one screen
- Speach rate: As you want it. We select Normal
- Listen to an example: Test the settings
- Default launguage status: This is textual info

- You can check if a text to speech engine is enabled by switching between languages. If there is no enabled text to speech engine on the bottom of the screen a popup will appear with the text “Can not start text-to-speech engine'
- Goto the menu (slide right from the left rim of the device, or tab on the icon in the lower left corner)
- Tab on Settings
- Goto Navigation settings
- Select the driving profile (car symbol) or any other at your needs
- Scroll down all the way to Voice
- Voice guidance
- Tab on the language your desire
- Voice guidance output
- Media /music audio (or according to your needs a different one)
- Play music: Off
Prevent apps from auto(re)starting
- Goto Settinggs | {} Developer options
- Under main (there is no text main. It are the first options) goto Running services
- If you do not use your phone as a phone you can disable com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel which is part of the stock phone dialer for Qualcomm powered devices. Apps may autorestart
- Stop Google ContextManagerService
- Stop Google Google.LocationService
- Stop Google LocationPersistentService
- Stop Google LocationSharingService
- Under apps
- turn Don't keep activities on
- set Background process limit to No background processes
