Group unlock
See group-unlock but where is the LOCK icon?
Run an ulp file
Do, this only works in the schematic,
RUN snap-on-grid-sch.ulp
in the the command box (the long withe field) and set the grid to the desired value
Snap to grid pre Eagle 8
For the general method see above When the schematic does not snap to the grid the following can solve it
- Use Tools | Snap on grid…
- Close Eagle and check in yourprojectnamefolder_snap.scr if the grid is entered correctly
Install a library
Libraries can be found at the Eagle libraries site
Installing the con-jst.lbr used for JST connectors. An alternative is the jst_xh_connectors_v1-0.zip by Ritmeester library
- Download the library from con-jst.lbr
- mkdir /home/user/.local/share/eagle/lbr/useradded if this directory does not exist
- Copy the library downloaded at point 1 into the directory created at point 2
- Do in Eagle schematic: Library | Manage Library
- A new window opens named Manage Libraries
- Click on the In Use tab. It is selected by default in our case
- Click on Browse in the left middle of the window.
- A new window opens named Use
- Browse to the library file
- Select the library file
- Click on open
- Close the Manage Libraries window

Snap to grid
See the general method above
Ohter snap to gird methods
- If an object does not snap to the grid and it is possible to remove the object it can be placed again and then it will snap to the grid
- If you want to use a grid of 1.27 mm and the object is off grid. This is a labour intensive approach
- Move the object as close as you can to the desired position
- Mark the point on the screen where the object has to be moved to
- Set the grid to 0.01 mm
- Move the object.
- Set the grid back to 1,27 mm
- Check if the object is on the right position
- If necessary repeat the steps 2 until 6

Bill of materials
A Bill of materials can be generated with the bom.ulp script found under the orange (tiooltip: “Run ULP”) icon
This did not work for us. We found bom-ex.ulp what did work.
