Files on a Garmin GPS
Where to put the data best
In Basecamp put all the data (waypoints, tracks and routes) you need on the SD card. In case the device loses its index it can easily be resorted by:
- Turn the device off
- Remove the SDcard
- Turn the device on and let it start fully
- Turn the device off
- Put the SDcard back
- Turn the device on and let it start fully
- Now you should have access to all the items again
See also the issues section
The more data you put on the device the longer the boot time will be.

Issues
Items (waypoints tracks) lost
When there should be items (like waypoints and tracks) on the device but they are not shown there might be an indexing problem.
