Installation

  • With aptitude do separate since some might be uninstalled later which makes that easier
    • Update Debian
    • Install sqlite, html2text and unzip
    • Install git
    • Install lsb-release
  • cd /usr/src
  • cd /usr/src/fusionpbx-install.sh/debian
  • ./install.sh
  • Our system hung during installation. So rebooted and again
  • ./install.sh
  • Note the username and password when the installation is finsished
  • We could not login. Mayby the installer showed a new password and FusionPBX expected the first generated password

Recover the Fusionpbx password

Do some settings and changes

  • cd /etc/fusionpbx
  • mv config.php config.php.org
  • Webbrowser: https://[IP of the fusionpbx PC]
  • Select language
  • Click the Next button in the upper right corner
  • In the next screen click the Next button in the upper right corner
  • Now enter
    • The Username: admin
    • The Password: Something you have to decide about
    • The Country: The country you live in
    • Database Type: We prefer sqlite above the default Postgres so selected sqlite
  • Click the Next button in the upper right corner
    • Database Filename: fusionpbx.db
    • mkdir /var/lib/freeswitch/db/sqlite
    • Database Directory: /var/lib/freeswitch/db/sqlite
  • Click the Next button in the upper right corner
  • This fails so go back to Select language and start over
  • Click the Next button in the upper right corner
  • In the next screen click the Next button in the upper right corner
    • The Username: admin
    • The Password: Something you have to decide about
    • The Country: The country you live in
    • Database Type: Postgresql
  • Click the Next button in the upper right corner
    • Database Host: localhost
    • Database Port: 5432
    • Database Name: fusionpbx
    • Database Username: fusionpbx
    • Database Password: Seef the $db_password field in /etc/fusionpbx/config.php.org
    • Create Database Options: Ignore
    • Create Database Username: Ignore
    • Create Database Password: Ignore
  • Click the Next button in the upper right corner
  • Log in again, worked for us
