gsettings

With this command a lot of settings can be done for GTK2 and GTK3
There are a lot of settings

recently-used.xbel

Turn the generation of recently-used.xbel off
These files can be found in $HOME/.local/share
Generating them can be truned of with

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.privacy remember-recent-files false
