Pi 1B USB poorts

The Pi 1B has 2 USB ports. Each port can supply up to 100mA

Pi 2B USB poorts

The Pi 2B has 4 USB ports. Combined 600mA can be drawn from them. To get 1200mA combined add max_usb_current=1 to /boot/config.txt
Beware that the maximum power which can be drawn form the power source, the net adapter, is limited to 2000mA by fuse F1
