- With a hack in Preferences it should be able to keep Manifest v2 working until Juni 2025. The patch has to be found
- An alternative is to switch to the Brave browser1) which maintains Manifest v2 as long as possible
- Since the 'Iron Updater' extension is disfunctional with Manifest v3 and the version downloaded from https://www.srware.net/iron is obsolete it is not an option to continue the usage of SRware Iron
Extensions
Remove an extension
- At the top right click on the vertical … icon
- In the roldown menu click on “Settings”
- In the left column click on “Extension”
- Click on “Remove” for the extension you want to remove
- A popup appears in the upper right corner
- Click on the blue “Remove” button
Themes
Add a theme
- In the upper left corner click on the Apps icon
- Click on “Webstore”
- Look for “Themes”. You can use CTRL-F to find it in the page
- Click on “Themes”
- Select a theme
- Click on the blue “Add to Chrome” button
Remove a theme
- At the top right click on the vertical … icon
- In the roldown menu click on “Settings”
- Click on “Appearance”
- At the “Themes” item, click on Use Classic

chrome://discards
and click on toggle for the tab of your choice in the “Auto Discardable” column
