Remove an extension

At the top right click on the vertical … icon
In the roldown menu click on “Settings”
In the left column click on “Extension”
Click on “Remove” for the extension you want to remove
A popup appears in the upper right corner
Click on the blue “Remove” button

Themes

Add a theme

In the upper left corner click on the Apps icon
Click on “Webstore”
Look for “Themes”. You can use CTRL-F to find it in the page
Click on “Themes”
Select a theme
Click on the blue “Add to Chrome” button

Remove a theme

At the top right click on the vertical … icon
In the roldown menu click on “Settings”
Click on “Appearance”
At the “Themes” item, click on Use Classic

Stop tab preloading and updating

chrome://discards

and click on toggle for the tab of your choice in the “Auto Discardable” column

Some extensions can turn on or off “Preload pages for faster browsing and searching” in the settings
