Short: 2FA

Always store the (QR)-code in safe place so you can restore the 2FA login when your smartphone is malfunctioning

To be used with websites which have two factor authentication enabeld

• Authy from Twillo. When installing it shows: “This app won't work unless you allow Goolgle Play services' request to access the following: Phone” Why is not clear to us. We could not find an answer at the Authy FAQ page
• Google authenticator. Does not need access to phone. It needs access to camera, which is obvious. Also, in general, to network connections (can be blocked with a firewall), several fingerprinting related permissions an some, for us not that important, not security / privacy related permissions
• Two factor authentication at Protonmail
