Web e-mail

Spam

The receival of legitimate messages in the spamfolder can be avoided. This can be done with white listing and / or filterting

Gmail

Gmail can be reached by @gmail.com and @googlemail.com

White listing

Gmail has no white list option. You can filter messages

Filtering

To filter messages click on more (Dutch: Om berichten te filteren klik op meer)
To filter messages click on more (Dutch: Om berichten te filteren klik op meer
Then click on

Filter messages like these (In Dutch: Berichten zoals deze filteren)

Now fill in this pop up as desired
Filteroptions
When done click on

Create filter with this search »

A second pop appears

Check the mark as in the picture: Never send it to spam
Click on

Create filter

Check if there are any old e-mails left in the spam folder and move them to the inbox. If so click on one then click on the gray

Yandex

White listing

Yandex has an option to white list e-mail addresses. So it can be avoided that legitimate e-mail goes to the spam folder

Filtering

Yandex has the ability to apply filters to e-mail messages

Give an e-mail client access to Gmail

Obsolete

When you do this, and you access your Gmail account with your e-mail client, you can get:

Authentication failed:
-ERR [AUTH] Web login required: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/78754

If so, you need to login to the Gmail webmail client to get it to work again. What the check with your e-mail client interval is to keep it working is not clear to us at this point

  • Login into your Google Account
  • In the upper right corner click on your username first letter icon
  • In the popup window that apears click on “Manage your Google Account”
  • In the left navigation panel click on “Security”
  • Scroll down to the “Less secure app access” panel
  • Click on “Turn off access (recommended)”
  • Turn the slider after “Allow less secure apps:” to on
