You will notice that all the items are aligned to the left.

Thunar is a dependency and the filemanager for Xfce

Thunar does not react to a double click on a file or folder
Workaround: use single click and ENTER or CTRL-O

evtest / evemu does not seem to work. Running evemu-describe /dev/input/mouse2 yielded error: could not describe device while the device is present in /dev/input and connected. The same result when ran in a real TTY (CTRL-ALT-F3)

Can be set via Menu > Settings > Preferred applications > Utilities tab > File Manager

Or via adding, if it does not exist, inode/directory=pcmanfm.desktop in the [Default Applications] section of the file $HOME/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list
Does not seem to work

When /home is full Xfce will lose the settings of the General monitor items in the panel.

Problem: The window manager will not start when you type

startx

on the command line as a normal user.
Solution: Do

ls -l /home/user/.Xauthority

If the owner and / or group are root do

chown user:user .Xauthority

Now try startx again.
