Changing the IP address of the router

Connect an IP cable from the PC to one of the switchports of the router Login in the router Change the IP adress of the router Bring the network connection down and up again

This can be done via Networkmanager (left click )
or do as root: ifdown eth0; ifup eth0

Now you can access the routers controlinterface again via the new IP address of the router

Cascading routers

When two routers or a modem/router and a router are cascaded and the second router is a WRT54G it has to be set to Gateway. We did not get it to work with the Router setting. WRT54G settings select
