lighttpd-mod-webdavY1 MBNeeds apache2-utils (available in Debian repository). HowTo for Debian 8

Setting up lighttpd-mod-webdav

See: here and here how other people did it

\n : New line in command output (so we can put all the output on one line here)
We presume the lighttpd is already installed

  • aptitude install lighttpd-mod-webdav apache2-utils
  • Check the ownership: ll -d /var/run/lighttpd/. It should show “www-data www-data” in the user and group permision fields
  • lighty-enable-mod auth. This should result in: “Enabling auth: ok \n Run “service lighttpd force-reload” to enable changes”
  • lighty-enable-mod webdav. This should result in; “Enabling webdav: ok \n Run “service lighttpd force-reload” to enable changes'
  • service lighttpd force-reload
  • mkdir -p /var/www/html/other/webDAV
